간미연은 그룹 베이비복스 시절부터 암사재활원에서 꾸준히 봉사를 해왔으며, 암사재활원의 후원기금을 마련하기 위해 자선 바자회 및 자선음악회에도 매년 꾸준히 참여하고 있다

간미연은 오는 18일 천호공원 야외무대에서 열리는 강동구 장애인의 날 기념 행사에서 장애인 복지시설 및 단체에서 추천한 자원봉사자 및 후원자로 감사장을 받는다.

강동구 측은 "벌써 10년 넘게 봉사를 꾸준히 해오고 있어 간미연씨 덕분에 많은 분들이 봉사에 참여하여 꾸준히 함께해주시는 분들이 늘고 있다. 이에 감사장을 수여하게 됐다"고 밝혔다.

간미연은 소속사 마코어뮤즈먼트를 통해 "봉사를 꾸준히 다녀보니 도움의 손길이 필요한 분들을 많은 사람들이 알고 조금 더 도움의 손길이 올 수 있길 바라는 마음에 이 같은 선행에 동참하고 있다. 많은 분들이 함께했으면 좋겠다"고 소감을 전했다.
